Calibration of torque wrenches and torque analysers

Calibration according to DIN EN ISO 6789 is performed in-house for mechanical click torque wrenches in the range 4 - 1000 Nm and in GEDOREs laboratory for electronic torque wrenches and torque testers in the range 0.2 - 1000 Nm (own brands).

The calibration period of Gedore mechanical torque wrenches up to 1000 Nm is approximately 1-2 working days if components aren't needed and for Gedore electronic torque wrenches about 10-15 days (adding the transportation time to Germany and back).

Warranty of torque wrenches

General conditions

  The supplier guarantees its products against any faulty due to defects in materials or manufacturing defects. This warranty is additional to any statutory national warranty and is subject to the conditions below.

  WARRANTY involves repair or replacement of defective products in accordance with the terms and conditions listed below.

  All repairs during warranty period are performed in the supplier workshops. The transport costs to our workshops will be sustained by the sender. The warranty covers spare parts, labor performed by the after-sales department and cost of returning the product to customer.

  All repairs will receive a warranty of 6 months for spare parts and labor. This warranty is valid only for the spare parts exchanged during the last repair, except consumables.

  In accordance with his policy of continued improvement of products to meet customer requirements and technological development, there is the possibility that the supplier upgrades or cancels the production of present models without incurring the obligation to repair its previously sold products or equipment.

  Those articles not included in the offer will be replaced with a technically equivalent product or a notice of payment will be issued.

Appliance conditions

Unless otherwise specified, the warranty applies to all products used in the normal conditions. The warranty does not cover:

  • Consumables - including cutting tools, circular blades, grinding tools, cutting blades, batteries, bits, brushes, etc.
  • Other accessories - electrical cables, spindles, adapters, other products that wear out or break during normal use.
  • Normal wear - including wear resulting from use of products for other purposes than those for which they were designed or other use than the provisions of users manual, product overload due to wear over normal operating parameters specified in the documents accompanying the product or in international standards, negligence or improper maintenance of products.
  • Modifications or repairs - made elsewhere than in the after-sales service department of the provider, even though they apparently did not significantly affect the quality or condition of the goods.
  • Natural disasters - fire, floods, lightning, etc.

  The warranty period shall take effect from date of purchase by the customer from the supplier. A copy of the invoice and/or warranty certificate proving the date of purchase from the supplier may be required in the event of a claim during the warranty. In case of technical products covered by a limited warranty, they will be returned with the indicated product series mentioned.

  After the warranty period or when the product is not subject to warranty repair anymore, in the event that a repair can be done, this would be done only after client acceptance on repair costs.

  Granting the warranty involves only repair / replacement of the product, and no other damages, regardless of their nature.

GEDORE terms and conditions

  All GEDORE branded products of our catalogue ranges sold through our authorized distribution channels are subject to a guarantee and will be repaired or replaced free of charge if they fail to give satisfactory service due to defective workmanship or materials.

  To obtain the guarantee service, the products have to be returned to us or to an authorized dealer free of charge, together with a proof of purchase.

  The guarantee does not apply in the event of normal wear and tear of the products, and a repair or replacement free of charge will not be effected if the examination of the defective items in our works shows that the products are subjected to “abnormal use”, which includes, but is not limited to, misuse, accident, modification, manipulation, lack of maintenance and storage in a high corrosive environment.

  • The warranty period of GEDORE torque wrenches is 2 years.
  • The warranty period of GEDORE torque analysers (Dremotest E si E-TP) is 2 years.
  • The warranty period of LOSOMAT torque wrenches is 1 year.

  Yearly recalibration of torque wrenches and torque analysers is recommended.
